What purpose would a dual head video card serve?

I pulled it out of a computer I was using for parts I have never seen one before. It’s a MATROX G450 DUALHEAD 16MB AGP VIDEO CARD 971-0301
yeah but why would someone want two monitors?

most modern vedo cards have this ability they just dont say so this video card has this ablilty but it is outdated as i figure you know so unless it maybe being a sare i would not use it if you have a better spare then well dich it
