I have a plane trip tomorrow… how do these items sound for my diaper bag?

2 onesie
2 pants
1 short sleeve side snap
1 long sleeve side snap
1 sweater
1 light blanket
1 thermal blanket
2 socks
2 mittens
10 diapers
wipes
first aid
baby shampoo & towel
hand sanitizer & lotion
burp cloth & bib

It’s not a particularly large bag and it seems nearly overstuffed. Is there anything I can do with out? I’ll be en route a total of 6 hours (check in early /2hrs + flight one/2hrs + overlay/1hr + flight two/1hr = 6hrs total). I’m traveling w/ a 10 wk old. I have a wrap to carry her in.
I also have a changing pad and cover.
by the way the baby wash is itty bitty becuase i know about regulations and i would hate to be stranded w/o it and not be able to wash my baby if she needed it
stranded as in plane delays and i get bumped and have to spend the night in a hotel

Sounds good as long as the hand sanitizer, lotion, baby shampoo, and whatnot is 3.4 ounces (100 ML) or less (container size) and you pull that stuff out of your baby bag.

If you are going to have milk for a baby, that’s fine (water isn’t for some God-only-knows-reason, but milk is fine) so long as you pull it out of your bag.

I’d say you don’t need the 2 mittens or the thermal planket in your carry-on, and you probably don’t need the baby shampoo or towel since I doubt you’ll be bathing the baby on the flight en route (the bathrooms in the airplane are usually too small for that), so you could get rid of that if you need a spot for the baby’s milk or if you just want to free up some space in your bag. And just make sure you ask for help if/when you need it! Most people are fairly nice to new moms.

Best of luck! Traveling with an infant is stressful to say the least.
